Oftentimes, people don't understand mental health due to stigma and a lack of understanding. Pistol Monkey understands the importance of not shaming each other for our realities, and instead try to create a safe space where we can lift each other up.
Pistol Monkey understands what it means to live with invisible illnesses, by helping those around them gain perspective on their own lives & challenges they may have been facing, or are now facing because those who live this experience day in and day out know that no matter how you're feeling, today doesn't dictate your future.
I am a mom of two boys and wife to a grumpy roofer. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, watching anything True Crime or zombies, listening to music, and dreaming big for the next steps of my business.
The only thing that is missing in my life is a decent sized closet!
All jokes aside though- mental health has been prevalent in my entire life both personally and professionally so it's the subject matter I have felt most passionate about for some time now. One day I had a light bulb moment that maybe there was more good that could be done if we started to end the stigma and normalize needing a little extra support with our mental health.
